About Daniel Crawford

Daniel Crawford is a career prosecutor with more than a decade of experience holding violent offenders accountable and keeping communities safe. He is currently the Criminal Chief Deputy Prosecutor for Grays Harbor County, where he leads the criminal division, manages complex felony prosecutions, and works closely with law enforcement to ensure cases are handled thoroughly, lawfully, and effectively.

Throughout his career, Daniel has focused on violent crime and crimes against children. He has prosecuted Class A felonies, sexual assault cases, and other high-risk offenses across multiple Washington counties. He has tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict, giving him firsthand courtroom experience that few prosecutors possess. That trial experience matters when public safety is on the line.

Before joining Grays Harbor County, Daniel served as Criminal Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Pacific County, where he led the criminal division and, for a substantial period of time, stepped in to perform the duties of the elected Prosecuting Attorney during a leave of absence. He has also served as a Deputy Prosecutor in Grant, Mason, and Adams Counties, where he handled felony cases from initial review through trial and post-conviction proceedings, supervised attorneys, and helped develop prosecutorial policies and procedures.

Daniel’s approach to prosecution is grounded in transparency, accountability, and a victim focused prosecution. He works closely with law enforcement during investigations, ensures victims are heard, and mentors younger attorneys to maintain high professional standards. He believes a prosecutor’s office must be both firm, fair and transparent—focused on public safety while applying the law consistently.

Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the National Trial Team and received multiple advocacy awards. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern California and has been licensed to practice law in Washington since 2011.

Daniel Crawford is running for Grays Harbor County Prosecutor to put public safety first, strengthen the prosecutor’s office, and ensure violent crime, sexual assault, and repeat offenses are treated with the seriousness they deserve. His experience, leadership, and courtroom record make him ready to serve on day one.
